TEETHING TIME wheew!

It been a roll-a-coaster ride with the boys growing so fast. Over the past month they moved from sitting to crawling, standing to now holding onto things to walk.

Between 6-7 month was when we finally started teething, David came first by effortlessly cutting a teeth, starting with the left and then the right within the month but Daniel started teeth with lots of issues temperature, watery stool, extreme crankiness and lack of appetite. The teeth finally came during the last week of their 7th month and the right tooth came out first unlike David who started with the left side.

I can't seem to get a picture of  Daniel's tooth, every time i open his month he always stick out his tongue  and so no picture to flaunt.

i will update pictures soon...............

Developmental Milestones

I cannot believe i did not write for a whole month. its being honestly hectic. With my mom-inlaw gone back to Benin and my mum usually on and off. Am currently feeling the full weight of these blessings.

Here is a list of all that happened in the last month.
Not so good:
1. David had diarrhea.
2. Daniel malaria
3. I had malaria
4. We had a pest invasion, they alway manage to bite Daniel specifically around the face. So we fumigated the house.

Now to the good part :

1.They can reach out for an items in front of them, particularly lighted object like phones,  flashy and multi- coloured teethers, keys and other bright toys.

2. We now turn from back to stomach with ease, this start with david and daniel later followed.

3. They bring their legs towards their mouth while laying on thier back

4. Carefully observes facial expression on my face and reacts when it looks friendly by smiling

5. There is a lot of laughter, smile, loud screech-like noises.

Am really happy and i feel so blessed. pictures will follow shortly.

SEX DURING PREGNANCY

It is amazing how people live with this MYTH that Sex is not permissible during pregnancy.
This article will address five Frequently Ask Questions about Sex during Pregnancy.

Can I have sex while I'm pregnant?

Absolutely. With a normal pregnancy, you can keep doing it right up until your waters break.

While sex during a normal pregnancy is fine, there are some important circumstances, in which you may be advised not to have sex. These include if you have:
  • a low-lying placenta or bleeding or if you have a history of miscarriage
  • abdominal pains or crampsif you have spotting or bleeding in early pregnancy
  • broken waters
  • a history of cervical weakness
You may also be advised to avoid sex during pregnancy if your husband has genital herpes or any other form of std's. If you catch genital herpes for the first time during pregnancy there is a small risk that it could affect your developing baby.

Will sex harm my baby?

You won't hurt your baby by making love, even with your partner on top. The thick mucus plug that seals the cervix helps guard against infection. The amniotic sac and the strong muscles of the uterus (womb) also protect your baby. Though your baby may move about a lot after orgasm, it's because of your pounding heart, not because he knows what's happening or feels pain.

Will sex feel as good while I'm pregnant?

Some women, free from worries about conception and contraception, have a great sex life during pregnancy. Increased blood flow to the pelvic area can cause engorgement of the genitals and heighten the sensation. But the same engorgement may give you an uncomfortable feeling of fullness after intercourse.

Is oral sex safe?

Yes, normal oral sex won't harm you or your baby and many consider it a good solution if intercourse is thought to be too risky.

Which positions are the most comfortable during pregnancy?

Here are some tips for making love while you're pregnant:
  • Lie sideways. Having your spouse on top requires increasingly creative gymnastics as your tummy swells. But lying partly sideways allows your husband to keep most of his weight off your uterus.
  • Use the bed as a prop. Your bulge isn't an obstacle if you lie on your back at the side or foot of the bed with your knees bent, and your bottom and feet perched at the edge of the mattress. Your husband can either kneel or stand in front of you.
  • Lie side-by-side in the spoons position, which allows for only shallow penetration. Sex should be gentle during pregnancy. Deep thrusts can become uncomfortable as the months pass.
  • Get on top of your spouse. It puts no weight on your abdomen and allows you to control the depth of penetration.
  • Try sitting on your spouse's lap as he sits on a [sturdy] chair. This puts no weight on your uterus.
  • Lubricating creams or gels may irritate your skin and cause allergic reactions. It's therefore best to avoid using them during pregnancy unless advised otherwise by your doctor. It's a good idea to clean your pelvic area thoroughly after you make love. Wipe dry with a clean towel or tissue paper.
PERSONAL OPINION(experience)
  1. I enjoyed sex while pregnant and even did till two days to delivery. It was fun and interesting all the way. I feel it was helpful in keeping me fit and flexible.
  2. It did not harm my boys so am sure it wont harm yours.
  3. Sex was beautiful and very interesting. Seriously if you are not being stopped due to medical reasons then go ahead.  it was very enjoyable. I had a very wonderful partner, so i advocate you discuss freely with your spouse about it.
  4. Oral sex is cool, you are missing out if you have never tried it.
  5. As regards positions the first three were okay for me and the remain three i cant say.
Have faith - where there's a will, there's a way. With a little experimenting, you and your spouse are sure to find a technique that works for you.

QUICK TIPS FOR DEALING WITH MOOD SWINGS IN PREGNANCY

Pregnancy causes a lot of changes in the body, expect double if you are pregnant with multiples(two or more). Here i will be sharing a few tips that helped me cope.

  • Be positively busy. Except for medical complications, i am an advocate for an active life style. Even when pregnant; be productive. A new phase has started with your pregnancy but note that your life comprises more than the baby.

  • Be happy. Engage in activities that bring you joy and fulfilments. I enjoyed singing, dancing, reading and going out.

  • Be contented. Don't expect too much from your spouse, no matter how hard they try, they will never be able to understand what you are going through while pregnant. Even the easiest pregnancy has challenges that men are just not wired to comprehend. So love him even when it hurts, believe in his love for you and forgive his thoughtlessness. This will keep you light hearted.
contentment

  • Be loving. Love  yourself, i know this may be hard especially if you are coping with health complications. Pregnancy brings on a lot of physical changes, most of them are unpleasant to sight. So you must be determined to love yourself through it all. Do not let the sight of swollen feet or face, skin discolourations and any other unsightly features make you feel ugly. All the changes will soon pass away.

The period of pregnancy is brief but it leave a lifetime effect on our life's physically, emotionally, financially and more. Enjoy it to the fullest.

DEALING WITH TWIN PREGNANCY

When people get to know that i had a set of twins, the first question they ask is "how are you coping and how challenging was your pregnancy?"
This post will be treating how i coped while pregnant, i am going to share my personal experience to encourage all expectant mothers.

I have always desired twins even before marriage specifically two boys. So when i confirmed that i was pregnant in the third month  of my marriage, i was excited- then the nausea hit me, really bad.
VOMITTING

At 8 weeks i went for a scan and the first question i asked was if i was expecting twins. I was told by the doctor that they could see early signs that am pregnant but that i should come back in 2 weeks and that it will be clearer at that time. I decided to wait through first trimester. This time i was told there was a baby with no growth and no sign of heartbeat, my doctor confirmed that i have suffered a missed abortion and an evacuation was carried out.
4 months later i got pregnant again and now i confirmed at 11weeks that i  was expecting two. I was super excited finally my prayer have been answered.
EXCITED

My first trimester was horrible, nausea was really bad - i wonder why it is called morning sicknes because i was sick 24/7. Over the first 14weeks i lost 9kg and didn't show at all, i found this scary. i did scan every month through my 2nd nd 3rd trimest - just to be sure my babies were fine.

My 2nd and 3rd trimester were beautiful, i had great health all through ( though heart burn and pelvic pain plagued me at the tail end )
28weeks pregnant

I heard plenty negative comments, that twin never get to full term, high risk pregnancy, gestation diabetics, endema, high blood pressure, etc. but i always rejected it rather i focused on the positive and i kept confessing scriptural truth.

I ate well, lots of fruit and i didn't give in to sweet cravings. i wasn't very active (except in bed) but i did most of my household chores

I prayed always and made positive confession whenever any negative thought crossed my mind.

I had my goals:
  • Good health for me and my babies
  • Full term babies
  • Supernatural virginal delivery,
  • No tear, no cut no operation.

I give glory to God because he was faithful in giving me all i desired.

So I say to anyone pregnant reading this (whether expecting one or more ) as God granted my desire and answered my prayer, so will he do yours in Jesus name amen.

So note this points:
1. Confess positive
2. Pray always
3. Eat well
4. Use your supplement
5. Don't fear
6. Expect the best
7. Be happy

this is bye from David and Daniel
Hope your all learnt something.
